Using a pair right now and they're pretty fucking great honestly, but my only experience with other IEMs are shitty drugstore earbuds so maybe take that with a grain of salt.
They take a bit getting used to though since you have to wear the cords around you're ear but you get used to it.

Also had trouble getting the jack to fit into my phone with the case on. But you can also get replacement cords don't know how much they go for though.

Q-Tips are for cleaning around the ear canal, not the era canal itself.

I've had Sennheiser HD558's for a year now. My first pair of nice headphones. The bass is a little weak, a bit of sound leaks out because they're open, but I do love them. I think I would get better audio quality from IEMs.
