First i'd ask the question is yr audio track recorded on a different mic? bc It feels out of step with the recording of the instruments. I'd say, of course, speaking from somebody who does barely anything with vocals in it (counting out acapellas) that maybe you should mix down the audio of the vocals a little bit because they can be overbearing to the instrumental track. But like i said thats just me, and for the same thing people don't hear it like that.

matter fact i made every synth i ever used from scratch through a little something you might've hear called sound design
