The problem with HTTT wasn't the quality of the songs, it was the quantity. There are literally no bad songs on the album, but there's just so much material that it makes the album that much worse.

Explains the lack of guests. It was so bad nobody wanted to be a part of it. Only those attention starved U2 dudes doing it for the visibility.
