Recommend me some decent headphones between £50 - £150 /mu/

go to the headphone general on /g/ and talk to them.
alternatively just buy Phillips SHP9500 if you want open backs, or ATH m40x if you prefer closed backs.

Didnt know there was a headphone general on /g/.
Thanks man
certainly not those pieces of shit
what are you looking for in a set of cans op?
currently using a pair of ATH‑M50's which are a bit on the expensive side but they're pretty good

Beyerdynamic DT770s are GOAT for in-home/studio use. They're on the top end of your budget (Typically $199 USD / £159) but they go on sale now and then
>wearing headphones for extended periods of time
enjoy tinitus

>he believes in the tinnitus myth
get out medical spook

>recommend me some headphones
this is a stupid thing to ask seeing as there's lots of different choices you have to make regarding what kind of headphones you want
>>72142024
>ATH‑M50's
memecans, that have unfortunately been memed so much they've had price increases and are no longer worth it
>>72142140
this is outright wrong, if you're spending £159 you should not be getting DT770s. for that price you could get DT880s which are definitely better, or if you want closed back you can easily find some other cans
literally get a pair of hd201's and call it a day

If you're in the UK you can snag these for about £100 on Amazon

Thoughts on pic related M40x?
are 100 bucks too much?

audio-technica's are overpriced in general imo
>>72141951
Can't do much better than this. Going open-back is the best decision you can make buying headphones, if you're gonna wear them in public don't get open, but home use, absolutely.
They leak a bit of audio, but surely you have your own room

Get a pair of brainwavz HM5 or Sony MDR-7506
Not sure how much my opinion is worth on this thread but having tried all the headphones on this thread if you want music for electronica and impact stuff the m40x. If you like sharp sounding headphones the DT770 are good. If you want big soundstage and a more laid-back sound the NVX-XPT100 are good. 598 and 558 for an open back with laid back sound, SHP9500 for budget friendly all rounder sound open back.
All headphones so far itt are memes.

I find it cute that people think there is competition in this range with the MDR-7506
