Tame Impala is hands down the best band in the world right now. They are not pretty good, they are pretty incredible. But more than just how good they are, They represent the first ripple in a massive change that we are about to go through musically as well as culturally.

They're great live. I think if all these basement dwellers who hate on them here went out and saw them live they'd like them.

I finally came around to realize it's his best album, I think I like the lyrics more on the first to because they're so relatable about being introverted.
But now he came out of his shell and he's this glorious Michael Jackson esque swan singing shiny pop. It would be amazing and not beyond him to make an album of all funky bangers like Let it Happen for his next album.

This to me is Tame's (Kevins) first 'contemporary' album.

It's got them French House/Justice vibes in the way the drums are treated in regards to compression and over-all crunch as well as the disco influence.

Its got that intertwining interplay where the instruments play small repetitive parts to make up a larger melody/rhythmn. Much like the bands on Captured Tracks such as Wild nothing, Beach Fossils DIIV etc

And its pretty hard to avoid the 80's nostalgia/vaporwave influence with some of the straight forward songwriting on a lot of these songs, and of course the synths.

Its just great and so right for now/when it was released.
