A year ago, I thought trap music was a horrible plague ruining mainstream hip hop. But nowadays, thanks to innovations in instruments, darker, more interesting songs like pic related and Xo Tour Life, and maybe a bit of stockholm syndrome, I'm willing to fully embrace the genre. Does anyone else have this feel?
Migos still sucks.
migos are one of the #1 influencers of the genre as a whole recently and no one gives a shit that you finally started acting like a little less of a pretentious twat. give them a thorough listen with an open mind - culture, no label 2, and YRN (the mixtape)
instrumental soundcloud trap is unironically the most interesting music being made right now
I thought trap was going to be something I'd only enjoy at parties but I've grown to enjoy it during solitary listens too

what do you mean by this? like edm trap?

I was trying to start a dialogue, but to please your pompous ass I'll go and listen to Culture, even though everything I've heard from them represents the worst trap has to offer.

good!! and well it depends on who you talk to, plenty still hate gucci and waka even though they were instrumental to the genre as a whole. particularly listen to their beats, flows, singing and punchlines. I understand that their lyrics aren't poetic or anything, but within the style they're good. with migos you have to go in for a good time cause they say a lot of funny shit. also watch the t shirt video if you have the chance

what's your opinion on suicideboys?

i've liked a few of their songs but i'm not really a fan. i'm already into bones and i was big on raider klan and original memphis rap when they were relevant. they're cool but i've heard the sound enough to not really be interested in them. chicks love them though and idk why

I feel that. their lyrics get 2edgy but I really like their flows and production. their production is like that old raider klan shit meets cloud rap. in terms of that style I think they really are one of the best around at the moment https://soundcloud.com/g59/thehottesthouroftheevening
