Confess your metal sins here:
I unironically listen to Sabaton and actually think they're really good. Please don't call me autistic.

I went to see them live and it was fantastic

NO BULLY
I don't divide everything I listen to into autistic subgenres.

>autistic subgenres
Why is this a common complaint with metal? All of the subgenres make perfect sense and are extremely varied, the subgenres of something like rock, for example, are much more minute in their differences.

protip: metal is a subgenre of rock

Metal is completely different from rock. It has scales other than the blues and doesn't rely on verse chorus structure most of the time for starters. Look at progressive rock and then look at Brutal Death Metal. They are nothing alike. Whereas, Prog Rock is a lot closer to Psychedelic Rock and Hard Rock, hence why they're all subgenres of the same genre.
It's sort of a meme between me and my friends, but I unironically enjoy it.

I fucking love old Trivium and I even saw them live
i unironically love glam

CoF's shittier efforts, such as Thornography and Nymphetamine, have some bangers on them. I unironically enjoy a couple songs of their mid-late 2000s works.
Around the time I turned 25 I started finding a good 75% of metal vocals unlistebable and it's ruined a ton of bands that I listened to for years without a problem.

I think Death Magnetic was a good Metallica album.
I legitimately think Opeth has the most interesting songwriting techniques used in the past 17 years.
i saw ghost live and cried during Cirice
