Probably not. I like Gorillaz, but the last album of theirs that was a huge deal was Demon Days. And it doesn't help that this album was made just to be Damon Albarn's big anti-Trump statement.

They'll never live up to Demon Days or Plastic Beach, Demon Days was their magnum opus with how consistently good every song on the album is and Plastic Beach was good because the really good songs on the album (Empire Ants, Melancholy Hill, Rhinestone Eyes, Stylo and Plastic Beach) shined bright enough to make the whole album worth a listen. Their only hope with this album I think will be the music videos or the diamond in the rough songs on the album. With there being like 19(?) tracks on the album at least a couple have to be good.

I think their choice feature artists has just gone to shit. The instrumental, beat, and Damon's vocals are really good on Saturnz Barz but with Popcaan shitting up the track with the majority of the vocal work you can only enjoy half the song. The features chosen for Demon Days and Plastic Beach were much better
