It has people talking about these issues a lot, not just here on /mu/ with endless boring contrarian bullshit. You may not get any point out of this, but you're part of it I'd say. He wants these issues plaguing society out there and discussed; he didn't offer any cure-alls, just his (not necessarily new or original, but still valid) diagnosis and some good tunes. Not that hard to figure out. You don't like the tunes? Fine, but the themes, meaning, and point of this album are clear to see and I'd say he's gotten them across well.

The album was largely uninteresting and lacked any vital engagement for me. The sound, the vocal range, the melodies, even the lyrics didn't latch on at all. There was nothing of substance or merit in my eyes.

Believe it or not but there are people who take 4chan seriously.

First few songs are great but then it gets boring and you want it to stop by track 10 or so. It's like FJM cornered you at a party and talks in the same deary, slow voice about his cynicism for the world for 50 mins. It's not nearly as varied as Honey Bear and I haven't heard fear fun enough to compare but this is a solid 5/6. Good for playing when girls are round.
