Ran is probably the greatest song releases this year. Too bad all Future Islands albums are so one dimensional. Songwriting is literally Ctrl C + Ctrl V then change a few things up.

First 2 albums are the best future islands albums. Other albums only have 1 or 2 memberable songs per album.

Tbh this is the only Future Islands release I could even listen to all the way through but I really like this one

i get that it's not for everyone but i think they do the 80s revival bs really well for how much awful 80s revival there is
the basslines are always solid and Sam Herring is a really interesting vocalist
lyrics are almost always meh but delivery is great

it's a Future Islands album
nothing more, nothing less
