Better beats, more complex flow and delivery, actually puts his hits on his album

Zay is cool but J.I.D takes his sound a little further

I think this tape is pretty solid. It's on the short end and left me wanting for more.

I guess since I have this thread already and don't feel like making another one, I'll through out this Tee Grizzley mixtape also.

I've been listening to this a bunch the last couple days.

It's pretty decent. Not much sticks out about it. He's a good singer. The a capella into was cool and First Day Out was pretty hard.

Most of the album is great, way better than Joeys. I really hate that joke on underwear it ruins the song. On that d/vision song he's outshined by Doctur dot. His flow sometimes reminds me of Kendrick with his cadence and delivery and rhyme scheme. This guy has potential to do something great if he finds his sound

nah, Zay is way better at talking about personal issues. JID is a more skilled rapper. But Zay makes better music.

I don't disagree with that. I think Isaiah has a stronger team surrounding him though.

Isaiah has the benefit of being around a few years therefore a little deeper catalog but I don't think there's a ton of distance between the two

granted, I haven't listened to J.I.D outside The Never Story so maybe he should have developed more by now, idk
