Well, to me they are. I like the shorter rockier songs, not the long, drawn out, repetitive stuff.

Whoa buddy. It's fine if you don't like it that much, but "shit" is a little harsh. Maybe it's more about nostalgia to me, but after Deloused there was talk about that being the only album they had planned on releasing and then when Frances came out it blew my ass off. It's also the album I saw them live for.

Whatre yalls thoughts on deloused? It's my only experience with these guys .

Deloused > Frances > Ampu > Noctourniquet > Bedlam = Octahedron

deloused and its not even close. and everything after frances is straight mediocre

Bedlam gets slow as hell near the end. Not their worst but it gets very stale.

Noctourniquet has some pretty great tracks. I love how "In Absentia" was originally supposed to progress the opposite way and they were like "not nuts enough. Let's have it start insane and then really open up at the end."

There are about 5 tracks on Noc I don't really give a shit about or remember, but I really enjoy Aegis, Dyslexicon, In Absentia (one of my favourite TMV songs), Imago, Molochwalker, Vedamalady, and Zed & Two Noughts.
