yeah I live in Columbia, Missouri which is like where all the people in Missouri who want to live in Portland or Brooklyn go to live. Lots of young as well as aging hipsters.

I had a dude talk to me and my friend about how awesome PBR was, at a basement punk rock show. But, all my friends drank PBR, because back then it was cheap as hell, and the best quality you could get for the price.

Maybe we were all hipsters, but we came from very different backgrounds. Some of us liking indie music, though, and the such.

This is the worst. The town I live in is being taken over by these people. They're putting up stacks of tiny "artsy" studio apartments right along the river and charging people $2000 a month to live in them. All these fucking big city people coming to our town for the outdoor culture and beautiful landscapes and they just start turning it into one of their big cities.

i hardly see anyone who isnt a hipster. i live in a hip part of town go to art school, work in an art gallery part time and work at a fair trade organic local grocery store/ coffee shop, play in a noise rock band and have a solo avant pop project, and live in a house that regularly hosts basement shows. i dont regularly associate with anyone a normie wouldnt label "hipster/"

Oh yeah. First time I ever saw a hipster was in 2009. It was a local Punk benefit show and some of my friends where playing. It was at the local Legion hall (Canadian version of the VFW).

I saw them at the back of the hall with their laptops, beards, spacers in ears, band shirts and skinny jeans.

Keep in mind this is a pretty small city in southern Ontario and this was the kind of gig with a mosh pit. Where everyone was having fun they just tat at the back (this was before vaping).
