Switch those lmao

what i dont get is when an album full of all these different instruments and progressions is expected to be something like classical music. IMO classical music is, like, the most basic shit to listen to and play on a keyboard. it's not good, never was really all that good.
I do love me some Liszt though.

>Wait for the drop
But that's exactly what it was
and that's what ruined it.
>>72070085
because there was too much unsatisfying buildup? yeah pretty much
>>72070317
Yea why the fuck does ALL electronic music need fucking bass drops and build ups that are all bloody identical. No beat can last or have any trance like qualities. Just all this stupid shit constantly.
I know the real answer, its because of the shortened attention spans.
it's good album
>>72070546
besides being overused theres nothing wrong with the format per se, it can be handled well and
>trance like qualities
is arguably just a result of even lazier composition. short attention span is one thing, repeating the same painfully simple musical material for 10 minutes at a time is another
but that's just a hypothetical extreme, eh
Worlds does have tracks like Sea of Voices that go for something "trancelike" not just in one way, but it's predictable, structurally and harmonically, and doesn't even go anywhere, like a "drop", thats what i was complaining about
>>72070745
Nah keeping shit good for 10 minutes requires skill.
>>72070986
yeah but most bleep stuff does that just by introducing a new layer or a slight variation on the beat every 4 or 8 bars
now that type of songwriting is justified with regards to how the music is used though, i didn't feel like i'd dance to anything on worlds

What is this? It looks like I'd like it.
Do any of you have the one on Nowhere by Ride? I've been looking for it as I think it's spot on.
