Your premise is wrong. Oasis were never The Beatles of the '90s. They just copied a few riffs, licks and tricks, and mentioned them a lot in interviews. They couldn't have innovated their way out of a paper bag.
Radiohead is the nearest we have to The Beatles today.
>>72058141
If Radiohead were known by everyone, yes, but they aren't anywhere near a household name.
>>72057686
The Strokes
>>72058215
Radiohead were far more popular than Oasis ever were.
>>72058530
They hardly register on the Beatles popularity scale though.
>>72058569
Neither do Oasis. They may be a household name in the UK, but barely anyone (at least if we're considering random people who may not be all that into music) in the US know them apart from Wonderwall and maybe a couple other songs from that same album.

then Gorillaz
>>72057686
Probably Coldplay, only band that really stayed relevent long enough. Also a band that made normal people get exited for their next album.
>>72057686
what I want to know is, if oasis was the beatles of the 90s, who was the rolling stones of the 90s?

probably this
The lemon twigs
There hasn't been a Beatles of any other decade. No Artist or group post "The Beatles" era has had the influence or staying power of The Beatles.
