>>72051369
no they didn't
Radiohead made 9 albums that, if any were released by any other band, would all be considered in the top 50 rock/pop albums of all time
radiohead makes some pretty mediocre music but i really liked them when I was younger so Im seeing them tonight anyway
>>72051544
good
>>72051481
true they made 0
>>72051438
wow what a terrible opinion
>>72051837
exactly
radiohead rehashes actual creative ideas of more obscure, older bands into readymade shite for pimply redditors that have unjustified feelings of superiority
and johnny greenwood is a faggot
>>72052049
pretty true. the groove section of radiohead is pretty undeniably good but the rest are pop tropes and studio magic
>>72052049
>pimply redditors that have unjustified feelings of superiority
This has everything to do with the fanbase being 18 year old freshmen at liberal arts colleges and nothing to do with the actual output by the band, though, it's not just limited to Radiohead's music. See: Alt-J, Mumford and Sons, the Chainsmokers, Black Keys, MGMT, and literally half of the "plebeian shite" that /mu/ likes too, anyways.
>>72052145
then the question is: why are these people drawn to radiohead?
I'd place them above all those other bands you mentioned though desu
>>72051503
This desu senpai
>>72052222
I would too, for the record. As for why these people are drawn to Radiohead, it's probably exactly the reason you said: rehashed creative ideas from more obscure, older bands, which means these people are just in their infancy as far as exploring music goes. If Radiohead's predecessors are as widely exposed to the masses, then the popularity would dwindle to an extent. RH's music, if derivative, is still a decent gateway into other, deeper stuff.
>>72051438
wrong
Kid A > OK Computer > The Bends > HTTF > Amnesiac > AMSP > TKOL > Pablo Honey (not that bad really) > In Rainbows
>Radiohead is for music noobs. I know this because I used to like Radiohead but then I got called a "fucking pleb" for liking their music. I have since grown so mature because now I don't like their music anymore
>>72052376
>putting in rainbows that low
the horror
>>72052702
Not him, but In Rainbows one of those albums that just kind of happens- It's pleasant to listen to, but it's very forgettable except for 3 or 4 songs. I wouldn't say it's worse than Pablo Honey, though.
