Were pic related the worst ever time for music?
2010s were worse
>>72023928
no, the 1960s were
1990s > 2000s > 1970s > 1980s > 2010s (so far) > pre 60s > 1960s
>>72023964
>1960s were
not at all
>>72023986
source?
>>72023964
Is tihs bait lmao
>>72023994
what source? Just look at the musical acts that came to prominence in the 60s. It was one of the most creatively inspired time in music.

>Just look at the musical acts that came to prominence in the 60s
who?
i've heard hundreds of albums from this alleged 'most creatively inspired time in music' and all i've held onto is a dozen jazz albums and 'the velvet underground & nico'.
>>72023928
Yes but it will come roaring back into style in a decade or so
Yes.
The 2010s are still fighting really hard for that spot though.
>>72023928
probably the 90's were pretty fucking awesome and hard for the 00's to top, Though I don't think the 90's were as diverse as the 80's, the 80's had fucking Ska, Punk, New-Wave, black-soul/disco, Synth pop, Pop, Rap, Rock, Rave/House/Breakbeat etc etc in the charts
Thinking about it the 80's were FUCKING FANTASTIC
>>72023928
lmao fuck no, i say the 80's are much worst
20th century was overrated in general
>>72023928
2010s has been the worst. The Nu-Male generation failed as artists. I guess newcomers have the 2020's to make it up.
>>72024092
you know ive really been thinking why the new gorillaz EP sucks and its coz of getting ghost produced so hard by so many non original people that every beat sounds generic and stale as fuck
2000s is infinetly better than 2017
No, the 2000s gave us Women.
>You watch one of those "Teens react to 2000s music" videos.
>"Oh my I was only 2 years old in 2000"
>"this is a classic"
no, the explosion in popularity and accessibility of the internet made it easier than ever to find exactly what kind of music you want, whenever you want, for free
>>72023928
60's>Late 70's>90's>80's>Early 70's>00's>10's.
I understand that as we get older we tend to look to the past as being better than it actually was, though I genuinely struggle to name genre-defining albums and/or stuff that is in anyway mind blowing or innovative. There are plenty of good or even great artists out there though there also seems to be far too much a reliance on older artists (see Radiohead and the slew of failed comebacks) rather than anything new. At most you could say that Hip-hop has gotten dramatically better, though you can't say the same for any other genre. Metal is practically dead (Vektor is the only band I can think of that has done anything "amazing" within the genre), electronic has Arca and not a whole lot else, I guess there's Vaporwave though that's more a meme than anything. And in the case of rock we don't have a Revolver or a Pet Sounds, not even a Funeral or Moon & Antarctica or Kid A.
I don't know, maybe I haven't been looking far enough though this decade really does seem barren in terms of new bands and stuff to be excited about. If anyone wants to disprove it then go straight ahead.

(referring to the 2010's)
>>72023928
1990s>1970s>1960s>2000s>2010s>1980s
>>72026572
60's > 90's > 70's > 00's > 10's > 80's
>>72023928
No, music started in 1910 soa any time beore theat is worst
>>72028163
Any dude who says the 80's were the worst time for music has only ever listened to pop music of that decade. In terms of experimental and punk music, the 80's were amazing
>>72028279
The pop music of the 80s is much better than the decades that came after and especially before.
The 70s were a radio wasteland.
2000s had some very memorable music, be it good or bad that shit is stuck in my memory like a time capsule.
>>72023928
