If you haven't listened to Carissa's Wierd's first album, please do, I really think you'll like it.
Just lay down and listen to it when you're down.
Other than that we have very similar taste senpai.
If you have last fm we should be friends

I like the Iron Maiden in that list, interesting mix, I like the diversity.
You might like Pain of Salvation.
No one band there seems like a direct reason to recommend them, but something about the mix of all them tells me you might appreciate the sound.

They dance around genres without forcing into their cliches' or being too forcefully proggy. I really respect them.
>>71997829
was this an attempt to list as many /mu/core albums as possible
the two lower levels are my definite top 10 (in order), but the upper 10 are more "yeah, I love that album" or stuff Ive been playing recently, also there are albums that I need to hear more times, but BSATSL I actually heard two days ago but I liked it so much that I put it here, it might leave the list but it probably wont
>>71997843

>>72001310
you made me realise. its an ep. more noise rock post punk than Loveless/Isn't anything, but still some really early shoegaze experiments. The song structures are also brilliant

Easily one of the most cohesive, catchy and fascinating brostep albums I've come across. Even more interesting how the album was mostly put together of singles the group had been releasing individually at the time, yet, the entire thing flows like a concept album about an apocalyptic future.
Discovery by Daft Punk is another example of an album that works like this, with that album having Interstella 5555 to accompany it; a great film to invoke a fun and whimsical atmosphere to the already great album. I don't see that storyline by listening to the music on its own, though. Welcome Reality, on the other hand, managed to invoke that feeling of adventure and story I don't get out of something like Discovery. I simply listen to it and can clearly hear and feel the emotions of the album's clear storyline. It's more impressive to me than most concept albums due to it giving me that same feeling without the need of a film or anything to accompany it. I adore it.
That said, I'd still love it if a film were made to accompany this album. I'm sure it'd be amazing.
COINCIDENTALLY BY THE WAY, I wrote all of this down and clicked on your photo before I hit "post" and noticed you had Discovery in your top albums. Sorry lel
