I listened to Christian alt/punkish stuff.
Grunge was still kind of a thing, and rap was still big. I remember hearing Britney Spears, Creed (Pearl Jam and other grungish bands) and Outcast a lot.
busted, eminem, disturbed, I was well into system of a down when I was 10. 11ish

If you were born in 94, then yes you're an early 2000s kid. You were 6-8 in the early 2000s.

Ringtone rap era music. Lots of one-hit wonder singles from the likes of Tipsy, D4L, Yung Dro, and Yung Jeezy. Boybands and girl pop stars. Nu-metal and angsty hard rock. Thank god for highschool and reliable internet so I could easily discover music.
Crappy pop punk
