Oh, I remember avoiding it and pooh-poohing it as overblown trash from the moment it dropped.
Then, I heard "We Used To Wait" on WFNX, and decided that I needed to give the album a listen. If 3x3's were a thing back then, it would have been on mine for the better part of a year.
Sprawl II was what sold me though. Realizing, in the moment, that The Arcade Fire was going to end a concept album on a random synthpop number was one of the greatest musical orgasms I've ever experienced.
