Kid Rock actually writes original songs, plays instruments and doesn't take himself too seriously like no fun allowed Eminem.

When Kid Rock blew up his albums got better reviews than you'd expect, given how repetitive the lyrics, delivery, and overall song content is. I still respect the amount of work he put in, releasing album after album for years in complete obscurity before he started making hits and went platinum.
