Closest I can think of is Beck's Morning Phase.
It's just a shitty, less risky Sea Change and everyone ate it up.
I was willing to cut him some slack when he was putting out worse but more interesting albums. Now I think he is completely creatively drained and not even worth following. That second jolt of fame is going to completely lead him in the wrong direction.
