Also, recc some albums with this vibe
>>
Not the same vibe but I was really into You Forgot It In People by Broken Social Scene around the same time I was in love with this album.

They didn't.

They did

The Suburbs came close and Neon Bible is my good too but they just don't come close. This album is definitely an indie album of its time but it's so soulful and an overall uniquely produced album where it feels timeless. Neighborhood #4 hits my feels and this album has one of the best openers of all time. That piano melody is GOAT opening progression.

Anything Arcade Fire did well was done better previously by either Stereolab or Broken Social Scene.

Anthems for a 17 yr old gir absolutely but honestly the first four songs are a great sequence
>>
Neon Bible is okay. If Funeral is a 10/10 I'd give it a 7/10. Still not as good and tends to be overrated by fans.

The Suburbs is mostly filler with about 3 great songs. I didn't like Reflktor at all.

Also check out the debut self-titled EP. That one goes overlooked for some reason.

honestly every song on that album grew on me, which is a rare occurence. I'd say my faves are Stars and Sons, Cause=Time, and I'm Still Your Fag

There albums are very consistent in quality, though they change the sound a lot, Neon Bible being the closest thing to Funeral albeit with a much darker sound and greater orchestration, there feels much more of a "plot" to the album so to speak and it is far more coherent, at the same time it lacks godly tracks like Neighbourhood 1 though still has Ocean of Noise which is one of their best songs. The Suburbs is more like REM, a lot longer and a fully fledged concept album that has a much lighter sound, they experiment a lot here with different styles. Reflektor is far more dance-oriented and is frankly underrated, in fact I'd argue it to be their best album even if it is bloated, disc 2 is where shit starts to get real.
