i started browsing /mu/ in like 2013 and i felt so out of place because it seemed like everyone had so much to talk about when it came to music. then like last year i took a break from /mu/ for like a year and when i came back like 4 months ago it felt different. It might just be because i got older but it feels like the ONLY places you see full threads of actual music discussion is in grid threads, jazz threads, (and occasionally some others but they die quickly). and it seems like all of the threads that get all the buzz are either about:
A. some shitty forced meme
B. some boring soundless rapper
or C. something that has noooothing to do with actual music at all
for example:
"ITT: post album titles and replace the last word in the title with donut "
These days it feels like alot people on here actually avoid talking about music
