This is a great album
>>71907687
One of the best ever imo, and certainly PiL's best
>>71907722
>and certainly PiL's best
I wouldn't go that far because Jah Wobble wasn't on it but I see where you're coming from.
Anyways RYM is a bullshit site.
devo's 2nd album
>>71907596
RYM shouldn't bold albums
>>71907758
jah wobble's departure is what made the album what it is. instead of being lead by a bass like most post punk, it was driven by percussion and become something wholly original which to this day hasn't been replicated. it's something primal, like cavemen playing post punk with lydon's dire wailing leading the march.
>>71907810
what are your favorite tracks on it?
>>71907596
i really like flowers of romance's cover
>>71907824
Not him but Banging the Door, Flowers of Romance, Track 8
Something about John's vocal delivery on Banging the Door that's great.
>>71907810
Yeah I totally agree with you and I see what you're saying.
For me what I loved about PiL was Jah Wobble's bass and Keith's rough, jagged guitar "playing".
>>71907824
really hard to choose because they're all great but if i had to pick three it'd be four enclosed walls, the title track, and banging the door
Flowers of Romance is definitely their strangest album.
It's kind of like how Pure Phase is to Spiritualized. One of their best albums, yet it seems to have been forgotten.
>>71907596
this album deserves nothing
dude's vocals make me want to slice my dick off
DOOM SITS IN GLOOM IN HIS ROOOOOOOOOOOOMM
>>71907889
dum dum-dumdumdumdum
>>71907872
Flowers of Romance seems to be rising in popularity lately, especially on /mu/.
>>71907596
I don't get the hype for this album.
I dont understand this album at all
>>71908045
à chacun son goût, mon ami
>>71908093
shut your fry hole
>>71907596
That cover seems so modern. Like it belongs on an album from the 2000s or something.
>>71907687
>>71907722
listen to more albums
>>71907831
>>71908569
possibly the greatest album cover of all time
>>71910025
PiL had great album artwork
>>71907939
Yeah this is their best album. Too many people get butthurt about the first track but its pretty great if you ask me.
