Mono - Hymn To The Immortal Wind
and
Swans - To Be Kind

Mono always seemed interesting But I never knew where to start with them. Thanks.
cresCENDOCORE!?
Helpful hint for the people in this thread who apparently lack even a middle-school education in music theory: no, suddenly getting louder does not count as a crescendo.

Eh, doesn't have to be that gradual either. You can go from ppp to fff in the space of a single bar and it would still count as a crescendo as long as it swelled in volume to that point rather than just cut from one extreme to the other.

Fair enough, but do you think that's a motif on the Seer or Spiderland?

Maybe not Spiderland, but The Seer is full of sections which start quietly and gradually slowly build in volume and intensity, so... yes? I understand why people call it crescendocore. These aren't traditional crescendos, sure, but the name itself is a pisstake made up to deride this kind of music in the first place so really you're just shouting at clouds dude.

I'm autistic man, this is what I do. I guess I'll go listen to the Seer again, apparently it's been too long.
