The album is genuinely good for those with an ear for arrangement and a decent attention span, however the ability to feel empathy is also necessary to appreciate it fully.

It's a legitimate album and I can respect it for what it is but at the end of the day the impact of the lyrics have nowhere to go since all of the songs just lead to a dead end of a lack of inspiration. All the songs more or less sound the same with just Soria Moria standing out somewhat. The context of the album makes the album a powerful statement but the actual quality of the album itself (which is something that must be determined independent of context) isn't anything special at all.

True though it definitely is something that helps enjoyment. Context definitely is a factor in this regard. On this note I can definitely say I liked this album in this way.
