that's still too late
however I agree that this is their best album, their most recent album is great too. It has the same vibe for me as American idiot has but with a bit more of a modern twist.

American Idiot is definitely a high point in their career. Say what you want about it but it was them actually innovating for the first time in like 8 years at the time. After they released it though, they just watered down the sound with their next releases to the point where it became unbearable.

le ebin xD
21st Century Breakdown was their best post-Warning album. The non-punk songs on American Idiot were really bad. On 21CB at least they had purpose
The Genesis albums that came out after this one would probably be well-received if they were released as Phil Collins solo albums.

Milk & Kisses. Oh wait, Cocteau Twins did stop after that album.

You are contrarians, Revolution Radio is easily the best modern album put out by anybody in Green Day's league/scene. It's not perfect and has some clunky lyrics, but it's pretty solid.
Too bad they had to go and make all those popular later albums and become "Iiterally reddit: the band"
>>71846641
jugband blues tho
>>71846532
I don't entirely disagree with you, but that's a highly conditional compliment, no?
>>71846532
Wrong, the white album by weezer is actually good lol. This is probably bait right?
>>71846641
They should have ended it at DSotM
>>71846861
They should have ended at Animals

This.
>>71846835
it's not as good, it just seems better because of Raditude
An obvious one. Going out at their commercial peak after losing their bandmate as one final hurrah. Plus they would have left a brilliant legacy which wouldn't have been tarnished by the number of mediocre albums they've put out since. This album would have just been the perfect swansong.
>>71847007
I'd rather listen to raditude than Uno, Dos, or Tre

Duke is kind of overrated IMO
The suite is OK but the studio version of Duke's Travels is a mess and Tony Banks said as much. Everything else on the album suffers from the "we're writing pop songs, but they're dissonant so they're progressive" mentality.
Abacab was sort of the same thing but more disjointed. You're right about everything afterward though. S/T and IT would've been better received than anything other than Phil's first record.

That was PATD's best album, btw.

But favourite worst nightmare is better anon

RIP Ryan Ross
Duh.
>>71846174
they should have stopped with this. Black Album was shit
>>71846641
Shoulda stayed together, just kept Syd around.
>>71847564
syd was completely gone only 5 years later but I still don't understand why they thought stuff like vegetable man was unreasonable but then made ummagumma
>>71847115
That's a weird way to spell Humbug
>>71847045
You're retarded than as there is more tracks between those three that are so, so better than anything on Raditude
>>71845587
I enjoy Rev Rad but the one thing I can't stand is the lyrics for Youngblood
>>71845587
lol CNN the album. KYS dude.
