Nowhere, especially CD version
Nowhere is the best album overall, but Twisterella is their best song.
Going Blank Again is the Patrician's choice.
It's Going Blank Again
>>71842702
Haven't listened to the other album, but I found nowhere to be incredibly dull and overrated
>>71842727
>Twisterella is their best song
Both are fucking blur-tier shit
>>71842727
>not LTAB or Grasshopper
>>71842793
sounds nothing like blur
>>71842768
are you a shoegaze fan
>>71842768
>>71842793
Oh here come the Slowdive cucks
>>71842831
Slowdive rule. Ride are fake shoegaze.
>>71842840
>fake shoegaze
Lel
Ride predates Britpop by over 3 years
>>71842840
>>71842831
new slowdive track sux
>>71842817
Not really even though I'm getting into it, but I'm not rating it in relation to the genre. Coming from someone who likes a lot of soft pop/rock shit
>>71842831
Souvlaki is better, though.
>>71842893
I just meant if you aren't into the genre, a lot of it can sound dull.
>>71842913
I don't really think ride are a good example of shoegaze though
fuck ride

Why not?
How will it be, /mu/?
Honestly liked Charm Assault the most of the two tracks they've put out so far, felt very in vein with some of the more straightforward alt-rock tracks off Going Blank Again
>>71842948
>>71843204
great answer. very insightful.
>>71842702
Nowhere is the better album overall, but GBA has Leave Them All Behind.
Going Blank Again
>>71842702
Both are shit
>>71842948
>I don't really think ride are a good example of shoegaze though
Can you provide some good examples of shoegaze besides the obvious (Loveless)?
>>71843750
Sorry I was away, it is shoegaze, but to me I don't get immersed in the sounds enough to warrant it as a great shoegaze record. It's more lyrically driven and to me feels more like dream/noise pop
>>71845965
Like I said I haven't listened to much shoegaze, but souvlaki, pyschocandy, and even heaven or las vegas feel more shoegaze to me (whatever that means).
>>71843627
I'm hoping it's at least decent, but I didn't like both tracks released so far, so I'm not very positive about this one.
Still will be catching them live in May. Anyone who seen them can tell me the vibe of their concerts?
>>71845075
This
These are better, don't waste your time on Ride. Just listen to these masterpieces
>>71846101
>calls Ride dream/noise pop
>cites Slowdive, JAMC, and Cocteau Twins as shoegaze
to be constructive and not just sarcastic, I'll recommend Swirlies, MBV (if you haven't already checked them out), LSD and the Search for God, Luminous Orange, and Tokyo Shoegazer as more representative of shoegaze
this is better
>>71846180
Thank you for not insulting me or calling me names which would probably ensue in a discussion related to other genres. Take my opinion with a grain of salt, but I just wasn't that blown away by nowhere. I'll check those out for sure. Farewell by Boris came on my discover weekly and I thought it was amazing, so I'm gonna check them out too. Are they even shoe gaze? It sounded like it
>>71846272
Yeah, Boris is pretty great. Their music definitely has shoegaze elements and influences but they'd be considered more noise rock or stoner metal.
That said, definitely check them out. The album that song is from, Pink, is a really great start, along with Flood and Feedbacker
