Yep by far the best.
2016 was a shit year though
I don't know much outside of rap, so I'd say an album that does come close to best (rap) album is The Impossible Kid.
>>71841312
>Under the Sun
>elseq 1-5
>Bon Iver
>James Blake
all better composed, better records
>>71841314
>>71841277
>best rap album
>not Ka
>>71841397
>Bon Iver
>Better composed
I like the record too, but that wasn't one of its strong suits. The songs jump around too much and don't focus on any one idea enough to fully flesh it out.
>>71841549
desu I just added in Bon Iver because personal taste
>>71841640
well ok then
>>71841277
>It wasn't even close
If you believe this you did not hear much music from 2016. AE made my year-end list but there were plenty of better albums.
>>71841741
not OP but care to share your top 10?
>>71841741
And of course you don't post any of them
>>71841774
What's top row second from right?
>>71841854
Thee Oh Sees - A Weird Exits
Psych rock/noise/fun.
They had a companion album called An Odd Entrances that was a little more spacey and a little less rock that was also good.
>>71841277
Thank You 4 your service was tied with this one mate.
>>71841312
2016 was my favorite year for music. 2014 might have been the best year tho.
>>71841878
seconding A Weird Exits, it was one of my favorite releases last year
>>71841774
Blackstar > TLOP > Blonde > AE > Everything else is below an 8 and not worth mentioning.
>>71842019
+vektor, ++grouper, +++sirens, ++++imperial, everything else on this chart was either bad or forgettable
>>71842071
>everything else on this chart was either bad or forgettable
not for me
>>71842060
>TLOP 2nd ovr and >8
>>71842082
the album is one of Ye's best work slightly brought down by 2 filler tracks.
>>71842106
>best work
LR>MBDTF>TCD>YZS>TLOP>808s>GRAD
It's 5th so...
>>71842432
>LR that high up
>808s that low
I know this is bait but c'mon you don't joke about Ye's discog like that
MBDTF > Yeezus > TLOP > 808s > TCD > GRAD > LR
>>71842458
Yeezus > LR > MBDTF > TLOP = 808s > TCD > G
>>71842458
You are crazy if you don't think LR should be up there. It's the perfect Chi-Kanye sound before he changed.
>>71842458
I consider TLOP and 808's pretty equal, that and maybe switching out LR and GRAD and our charts the same
>>71842458
>saying someone is bating for placing 808s too low
>places one of kanye's top 3 albums and one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time at last bellow Yeezus, TLOP, 808s and GRAD.
Holy shit dude
>>71842019
>Savage Mode
dropped
>>71842720
LR is too drawn out for it's own good and I'm not huge on the strings.
>>71842740
>too drawn out
Disagree but understandable
>I'm not huge on the strings.
That was the best part of the album. Gone is the GOAT Kanye song
Elseq was the best though
Blonde was, but it was pretty close with AE.
How has no one mentioned Skeleton Tree yet? That took it by a landslide for me
>>71843882
>Coloring Book
Pleb alert
+ for AE, Still Brazy, and Imperial tho
>>71843906
it was my ( >>71841774 )
#11. I liked it a lot but didn't come back to it as often.
>>71841774

>>71841397
>james blake
had some amazing moments but was far too long to ever be enjoyable for me anyway
>>71842019
>Endless over Blonde
we get it. youre a hipster.
Moons shaped pool follows this imo. I enjoyed AE but eh.
>>71841397
>Elseq
>composed
nice try
the rest of the list is boring
