I'm gonna get this next payday, am I making a mistake?
> the one I have currently is a crosley that doesn't even work
For fucks sake, do some research and get an older model that'll last you some time. I swear man, it's worth it.
How much are you willing to pay OP?
RP-117 is the only good turntable. Otherwise enjoy flipping your records like an IDIOT

40-60 is what I can afford
>>71814287
What are you talking about. What turntable automatically flips the album?
>>71814658
The Sharp RP-117 but it's about $250 so nevermind. Enjoy your meme media.

I have a turntable that plugs into my computer and can make .mp3s out of the shit I put it. I think finding random albums at good will or the used book store for $1 is a fun hobby

Ok..just viewed one. It doesn't actually flip the record. The tone aim just follows a track around and plays the back side of the album. the tome arm isn't "balanced" it has a mechanical pressure exerted on it. Not sure if that's good for the albums or not.

I mean "tone arm" of course.
>>71814869
Well yeah it actually has two needles, one for each side.
>>71814144
Just buy a used one, much easier to service and will last you a lot longer

The guys at record stores can help you out with finding if you want belt-drive or what or you can debate what's good for scratching and all that stuff.

I have 2 turntables. A Pioneer PL-400 that i bought new in 1980 and still works like a champ. And a Technics SL-V5 (pic shown but not mine) that was given to me in the early 90's. It also is linear tracking like the Sharp you mentioned. It doesn't have as good a sound as my Pioneer.

better hope you get a good deal at a pawn shop lol.
as long as it looks decent quality (doesn't feel cheaply made, counterweight, anti skate is a plus) just buy it. anything is better than a crosley.
