In The Aeroplane, STGSTV, and Soundtracks for the Blind all have a very transient nature because they utilize language connotations to paint a picture which cannot be done normally in music.

Because of this, all three albums also have a timelessness because we don't have a literal interpretation, but a living interpretation as the words have different meaning depending on our own subconscious at the time of listening.

Spirit is pretty obviously about growing up, just through a psychedelic lense (like most anco songs, something normal just expressed with abstract language Guy's Eyes for example is about jerking off, and flesh canoe is about how bad avey wants to fuck panda bear)
Aeroplane is literally about how mangum wants to fuck Anne Frank/somewhat autobiographical
Soundtracks is supposed to resemble a MOVIE SOUNDTRACK, and is also basically unreleased b sides from the entire swans discography up to that point mixed into an album with no explicit concept like Children of God, I mean half the songs are tape loops (something gira used as early as the Filth sessions)
