Best Gorillaz album
The only gorillaz album I like honestly.
first cd i ever bought
>>71758451
A modern classic and the high water mark for Gorillaz and Albarn's respective careers.
Also, arguably, the only "real" Gorillaz album since it had Del and Dan on it.
>>71758451
Really good. Nostalgic on first listen.

I never thought I would agree so heavily with so many posters in a single thread.
It's a 3.5/5 for me, which is a Good album in my ranking system

GRAVITAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY
possibly their best.

Slow Country is legitimately my favorite Gorillaz track. It's like a time machine back to that simpler, pre-9/11 turn-of-the-milennium bliss that permeated 1999, 2000, and most of 2001.
The whole album makes me remember hearing 19-2000 in the background while exploring London for the first time and eating dinner at the YO! Sushi joint on the top floor of Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge with the Digimon movie playing in the background.

best gorillaz album
very influential album in my personal life
I remember the Clint eastwood premiere on mtv. Stunning.
Just bought that album with 12 years old and afterward bougth all the cd singles. I remember checking Enhanced CD extras and discovering the internet with Gorillaz. I spent ours in their website which was like an hotel or an abandoned hospital and you could walk around the building. Damn Feels. Gorillaz marked my life so deep and I still love them. I had no expectations for the new album and now Im really hype after listening to Damon Albarn. I think tonight they are performing in London, damn Im going to check this out

god damn the Kong studios omg great memories Hail the early 00's
>that feel when coming home from school in my dad's mazda with gorillaz s/t CD playing, rushing to my playstation 2 starting up GTA 3, and ending the night staying up watching new episodes of aqua teen hunger force

>you will never return to the times where you come back from school and would sit in front of your fuckhuge JVC TV that was a tv and a tv stand in one eating a cheesestring and listening to the latest hits on tiny pop
>If there was nothing good on you would just press the interactive button on the remote and play playjam games
Fuck, I was introduced to so many demon days and s/t songs even in 2004, that and junior senior shaped my childhood music
>>71758459
d-sides is better
>>71759890
He's fine, just not active
Which one do you prefer /mu/, Latin Simone (English) or Que pasa contigo? (Spanish)
>>71758451
Extremely underrated but Demon Days is still better
>>71759890
Probably too down in the dope. He sounded so off-beat and confused in his latest releases and seemed out of it in interviews. Decades of heroin abuse will do that to you.
>>71760267
Call me a beaner but I like the Spanish version more
>>71758475
How does that make it the only real Gorillaz album?
>>71759890
Del refused to perform Clint eastwood with albarn after the S/T release.
He didn't do it until like 2014 or some shit, he literally didn't wanted to do anything with it.
That's why Clint Eastwood live versions had a shitton of different rappers and verses.
>>71760438
and the reason why he didnt want to perform? Maybe he is fucking dela madman
>>71760641
I remember something like Del feeling he wasn't given enough credit
>>71758451
still my favorite gorillaz album
>>71758468
woah, same
>>71760678
Find a source instead of vague gossip.
Simultaneously the most diverse and fun-loving record of theirs. None of the pointed commentary of their following releases, just a crazy trip-hop concoction with a notable love for dub and zombie flicks. That said, I will admit to preferring the darker flavor of Demon Days but it's certainly ahead of the post-DD synthpop stuff.

it makes sense the first thing I thought it could be were some personal disputes or something about the money. Greedy rappers and so on. The heroine and the bitches did the rest
