How is More Life? Friends' opinions range from "not worth listening at all" to "best thing he's done in years"
Anyway idk much about Modern Baseball but Snowing came out with a compilation last year that you might like
>>71756662
All my friends love Drunk and I don't get it. It's got some good songs but without Flying Lotus it wouldn't be shit
New Blanck Mass (World Eater) has some interesting production that reminds me a little of Oneohtrix with more industrial at times, you might like
>>71756641
Teebs - Ardour is super underrated and is on Brainfeeder so he sounds a little like Flylo
Panda Bear - Person Pitch is obvious but still worth mentioning
Deerhunter - Cryptograms is really fun and weird neo-psych and I hear a little bit of the Pixies in that album in particular which you might enjoy
>>71757662
>++The smiths
Just listen to the Smiths Discog lol
and More Life is fine, it's a solid driving and party mixtape, like his last two. Better then views imo also, and if you want to give Modern Baseball a try listen to Sports first, then the other two albums.
Discovered Built To Spill, really liking them so far.
I only have a 5x5 and topsters on mobile is shit desu
>>71757700
>Just listen to the Smiths Discog lol
Almost there! All I have left is Louder Than Bombs and Strangeways Here We Come. Dunno about that one people say it's good but I've heard Johnny is much less involved which kinda bums me out

Actually listened to them a lot this month too. Really liked Bee Thousand. When it comes to Pavement, I can't tell if i prefer Crooked Rain or Slanted and Enchanted.
Any more recommendations? I'm still pretty new to music, listening to many essential charts right now, because I don't know most stuff. I generally prefer stuff leaning towards rock.
>>71757853
I preferred Crooked Rain for the longest time but S&E has definitely grown on me more
I don't have anything super interesting to rec that isn't already on the charts desu but I'm a big fan of
>Yo La Tengo: I Can Hear The Heart Beating As One
>Unwound: Repetition/Fake Train/everything else basically
>Swirlies: They Spent Their Wild And Youthful Days In The Glittering World Of The Salons (this one especially rules)
>>71753693
>Manipulator
Nice, that's been one of my go-to albums for over a year now
>>71757880
Thank you! I heard Yo La Tengo and Unwound (big fan of Repetition and Leaves Turn Inside You), but never listened to Swirlies, so this is helpful. I'll set some time aside to listen to them today.
What's with some of these albums appearing on so many lists?
Are there really that many people that have been listening to Ween and Thundercat over the past month?
>>71757917

>>71760169
I think it's the best thing she's come out with for sure, if you're a fan of Syd's voice at all I'd highly recommend. A nice mix of soft and sexy (Smile More, Know, Body) songs along with nice confident and swagged out songs (Shake Em Off, All About Me). If you don't like "normal" sounding R&B I would avoid this
>>71760224
The Homeshake project is very bare and can have a bit of a high or "sleepy" vibe to it, it's not for everyone but I can't stop listening to it.
>>71760622
I'll check him/her/them out, thanks brother.
>>71760785
+++BPB, favorite Oldham project? I'm partial to The Letting Go or Viva Last Blues.
I used to not be a fan of B&S but it clicked a few years ago and since then I've really dug them.
Probably all because of 500 Days of Summer /s
>>71760084
Middle album is quarantine by Laurel Halo
>>71760837
i've only really listened to i see a darkness and pond scum, i should listened to more of his stuff though. i associate b&s with old exes and people i don't like so maybe that is part of it. favorite b&s album?
>>71761128
I really recommend The Letting Go if you like those two. Viva Last Blues is before any of that and is under the Palace Brothers moniker. Wolfroy Goes to Town is also great and features Angel Olsen before she went solo.
If You're Feeling Sinister is the classic B&S, but Boy With the Arab Strap is really good too.
