I have been to reddit a few times. I don't see the problem with visiting a site once to check out their community. Everyone on 4chan should go to reddit once and if they don't hate it, stay there and never come back to 4chan. I have also read quite a few 4chan posts on the subject. I can't say I much about their culture, like buzzwords and memes they use. I can identify the reddit typing pattern and a few terms they like though and I see that strongly in the way you type. Back for the first time since the annual coachella comfy thread because I had a question about Yusef Lateef and jazz flute more generally and was sure I could get an answer from the jazz thread, but there's no jazz thread.

Most boards have been heading downhill for years, mostly as the median age of posters increases and moderation has remained too lax. /pol/ shitposting was bad last year, but it's somehow gotten worse.

Anyway, there's no solution short of strict moderation and active janitors, but since the site relies on free/volunteer labor, you kind of get what you pay for.

Anyway, it's sad. The share threads were the best place to get music for the better part of a decade, but I have a feeling most of the people who kept those alive with great content have moved on.

I could have copy/pasted this from last year, two years ago, three years ago, and could copy/paste it next year without having to change a word.
