This is pretty much what 70's metal looks like. Metal didn't really take off until the NWOBHM in the 80's but these are the bands that paved the way for the genre

It should just be bands though. Like you shouldnt even list albums but maybe have 2x2 and if there's an important band with only one album you'd picture the album but just write the band. The 80s are way too massive to do this with albums.

also I guess if the band had less than 4 albums then you'd have to pick the best one to picture. I assume squares of 2 and 3 aren't preferable.

Sir Lord Baltimore and Iron Claw are the only real 70s metal bands I can think of
