My parents were obssessed with the beatles when I was young. That was literally all they played. Then, I became edgy and went through a phase where I listened solely to video game ost's. Then, at the end of high school, I got into music and started browsing /mu/. I've been here for about a year.

Do you blame them? If I was in high school I'd probably come here too. They like to find shit that makes them feel superior to others so they dig around for music that's slightly more abstract than what most kids are listening to and then parade it around to be cool.

But you can't blame them, because you know you'd do it too. Besides, as I've gotten older I've gotten more bitter and critical of music. Young adults tend to still have the twinkle in their eyes when they hear music. It's refreshing to talk to people who actually care.
