Please show me some 10/10 rock albums. Yes, I want to keep the genre broad but please categorize it as Pre-2000 and Post-2000
Hoping for some phenomenal music... but truthfully expecting less. Interested in what I might here

NONAGON INFINITY OPENS THE DOOR
1997

>>71691522

>>71691207
This is a 10
>>71691605
you're goddamn right it is
but then later AFI went to shit
>>71691631
Decemberunderground, Art of Drowning, and Sing The Sorrow are still really good albums. Even Crash Love and the last two were ok
>>71691631
But luckily we got a handfull of damn good albums before they did
>>71691671
>>71691673
fair enough.
but to me, this was the peak before the downward slide
>>71691671
Decemberunderground is the only one I'd leave off that list
And honestly, I though Crash Love was very good. Definitely the strongest of their past 4 records.
1980
More like this and surfer rosa plsss?
1989
1976
stretching the definition of "rock" here, but fuck it
1984

This is the only 10/10 by Judas Priest. British Steel was the beginning of the end for those guys.
The Replacements - Tim (1985)
legends.
Paul does amazing lyrics and vocal performance, wih rather rough production (in an abandoned factory i beleive) it adds to the feel of it, but does not take away from the true musicianship.
I made a whole thread about this album. Spilt Milk by Jellyfish

O contraire anon. Significant Other is one of the best albums of the 90s and the crown jule of the so called "NU-Metal" genre

That's a good album anon. But something so explicitly derivative can never be above an 8/10
>>71692816
This too
2003
>>71692838
no, that would be an insult to FNM.
the cancerous "numetal" trend was an attempt by major labels to profit off of FNM and similar bands style while tying it into the ever-profitable rap music
>>71692865
>Raven
>explicitly derivative
Don't just spit Fandango's opinions back at me
>>71692888
Thank u prof. dadrock
>>71692927
fuck you very much Fred Durst
>>71692907
Yes, what are the odds that two people would have the same opinion? Also if I recall Fantano gave that album a low score. I loved it. But it is very derivative.
Definitely not a 10/10.
Gonna post some good ones.
1970. It's worth checking out Phallus Dei (1969) and Tanz Der Lemminge (1971), though your mileage may vary on whether they are 10s.
This is a hell of a good album. Been a favorite of mine for quite awhile. 10/10, wouldn't change a single note.

I don't mind as long as you actually listened to it. The tendency of people just parroting critics just makes me write vague observations off.

I'd probably give it an 8. I rarely watch Fantano any more because he seems to miss the point a lot, especially when it comes to Prog. But I recall watching this one when it came out and being fairly annoyed.
