its just nicely constructed and the music strongly embodies the mood its trying to convey. it like sounds lethargic and simple but has a lot of thought about it

theres a documentary on foxtrot, perhaps youre interested on that. as a fan of the album (top 20 for me), its just superb. very well-rounded on all aspects, with excellent value on production - hip hop samples, voice samples, violins, some ambient-ish backtracks, etc, just uncommon sophistication for a "rock" album, layered on top of songs that are all distinctive from each other, have all great hooks, and are a comforting package with a riding-the-highway-on-a-summer-day feeling of calm (picture rumours by fleetwood mac). great album. one of the best albums of that decade for sure.

i dont think i fully liked it the first time, so try it again later if its not your thing originally. first track is the worst one by the way, but all others are 3.5+/5 imo

cool! its mostly about how they recorded it but it'll give you that extra insight on how intricate the production is, and also on some aspects of music creation for an artist in general
