First of all, greenday is practically pop music. Second, no it's shit.

As much as I liked American Idiot when it released (I was 13 yo, judge me), there's been many good rock bands releasing albums since then. Like them or not, we still have Neil Young, Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Red Hot, The Stones, Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, SOAD, Paul Mccartney, Clapton, and a few other big bands releasing albums. Before dying, Bowie released like 5 albums or more since '04. We also have some less known bands like Promise of the Real, Insects vs Robots and others doing good stuff. Rock is not the same as in the seventies but it's not dead either. Fuck you, OP

>Assumes all of Green Day sounds just like Uno, Dos, and Tre...
They progressively became more and more pop/pop rock, their earlier stuff is textbook punk. I can understand criticisms of AE and all their later stuff but there are a bunch of solid singles on 1039 and Kerplunk.

It's neither rock or good. Neck yourself.

their earlier stuff is textbook kinks plageurism. Go to bed baby, kinks are pop-rock, green day are kinks copycats, green day are pop-rock. End. Of.

>anything from green day could be the last great rock album
OP, this album may be a good Green Day album and it may be one of the more popular rock albums of the last 20 years. However, to say this is last good rock album is like saying 2014 Forest Hill Drive by J. Cole is the last great hip hop album.
