holy shit
Insanely good album.
Refreshing to actually see good taste on /mu/ - holy shit haha.
Glamour Profession is the soundtrack to my entire life.
Can't Buy a Thrill is their best tho
It's good but a bit underwhelming as a follow up to Aja though.

Doesn't mean this album isn't fucking amazing tho. Steely Dan is one of the few great dadrock bands.
AJA top tier
GAUCHO is AJA 2 you're BTFO if you think anything else

True. Gaucho, Aja and Can't Buy a Thrill are all great

Everything in between those are great also. They had an incredible streak of albums, not a single bad one.
What about the stuff they made in the 2000's? I enjoyed Two Against Nature but never listened to Everything Must Go...

I got into them but just their greatest hits in grad school. Hey Nineteen was my bar hopping experience to a tee and I would use Deacon Blues to chill after yet another day writing about Ontology or Competitive Intelligence with two different study groups, that was a nightmare semester.
Steely Dan is proof that not all jews are evil. Yes most of them are, but there are exceptions.

Yeah my personal favorites ares 2AN, Everything Must Go, Katy Lied, and Gaucho.
Aja, The Royal Scam, Can't Buy A Thrill, Pretzel Logic and Countdown to Ecstasy will always have places in my heart though.
