Do you guys like MCR?

I don't like the fanbase that much but I really, really like their music. Even though they're really over the top.

I loved them for a few weeks when I was 14, then I vehemently hated them for a few years going into my metal phase.

Now I'm 23 and their back to being one of my most played bands again, that being said I turn the volume down in public so nobody can hear them on my earphones.

im 20 and found out about them a month ago and not a day has passed that i havent listened to them. they are passionate and there is "too much" everything, but its so harmonious and comunicates so well that you just cant deny the quality of their music. videos arent the best out there in terms of cinematography, but they deliver the mesaage and passion which is the point. i remember Famous Last Words being the first song i heard / video i saw and from the first second i jaw was on the floor. i have never clicked with a band so quickly since i heard nirvana and that was 7 years ago.

Drowning Lessons, Our Lady of Sorrows, Early Sunsets over Monroeville and Demolition Lovers are all perfect songs.

I may not like them like I like other music, but I recognize The Black Parade as one of the 2000's quintessential albums. At least as far as popular music goes.

I like bullets the best because of how raw and aggressive it is, reminds me a lot of at the drive in.

This happens so often that after I start listening to an artist, threads on /mu/ start popping up right after.

I started listening to them again a few months ago. My gf had never heard of them, so I played her a few songs and then got more into them.

I really don't get the hype for 3 cheers, I never really liked it. I remember when welcome to the black parade was played constantly on the radio, and I loved it.

I think people are only now realizing what a good band My Chem was. As of now at least they were the last mainstream rock band that actually mattered.
