Of course it isn't shit. It's amazing and it gets better with each listen. Listen to her other albums too, ESPECIALLY TO VISIONS.

grimesfag cancer detected
somebody get the radiation treatment
Yeah OP I converted about 5 months ago. Art Angels is just so fucking good, I can't even try to dislike it anymore, it's just experimental pop and EDM perfection
>>71616075
>somebody get the radiation treatment
Lmao! You're the "victim", you should get some radiation treatment. Hopefully that will cure your shit taste.
>>71614674
Don't mind all the trolls already in the process of sperging all up in your thread - that's perfectly normal for them where Grimes is involved.
>>71616139
That's cool af. Thoughts on her older albums?
>>71616075
Cancer is just a derogatory term for Evolution that the status quo can't handle.
>>71616186
I'm not the biggest Visions fan even though I think some songs really do excel at pushing indie pop forward. And she really nailed the structure of a few of the songs like "oblivion" on that.
I think her early stuff is kinda unlistenable/not to the quality I would have pictured it being before listening.
I prefer the production of the last few releases because the higher fidelity recordings obviously give her a lot more ideas and room sonically to play with

Cancer is actually some of your cells turning against you. Some punk cells, if you will.

>I think her early stuff is kinda unlistenable/not to the quality I would have pictured it being before listening.
Her early albums are weird and really not that accessible. But they grew on me a lot. They're not unlistenable, but lo-fi in a charming way. In the right mood, they could sound amazing.
>>71616167
Exactly.

Right on OP I was you about two weeks ago. Never really gave her a fair listen because thought Grimes was some kind of Death Grips meme. Then one day I did.
I haven't stopped listening to her since. I'd say I'm about 43% caught up now.
>>71616565
>I'd say I'm about 43% caught up now.
What 100% would mean to you? Your absolute fave artist?
>>71616606
lol what I meant is I've probably heard about 43% of her released material Anon. She is a 99.9% in my book.
...because nobodies perfect.
>>71616454
What difference does it make if you claim to actually like her/her music or not? You're here interacting with us - not Grimes.
>>71616647
>...because nobodies perfect.
Understandable. In fact perfection would be boring.
>lol what I meant is I've probably heard about 43% of her released material Anon.
You still have a lot to discover, then. So, discovering her was a happy accident. Just saying: some of her songs may take a while to digest them. I find myself really loving songs that I thought they're fillers. e.g. Orphia.
>>71616606
he's still only 43% of the way through the album.
