Does /mu/ like my histomap? Got any suggestions?
When did rock go wrong

Right about 1995. Not a lewronggeneration type but there isn't a lot of good from this chart from 1995 onwards. Alt, Indie and Post Rock are alright though.

Kid A was the last nail on it's coffin.

Why are you mixing rock and metal?
>>71607365
are we just ignoring the fact that "folk" is apparently a sub-genre of rock music and it stopped in the early 70s
>>71607120
Nice. I'd change some labels like "College Rock", "Bubblegum Rock", and "Mainstream". Plus, the 50s and 60s could be more specific. Besides that, though it's pretty solid and concise.
Also, why is Talk Talk in Post-Hardcore? I'm assuming that mistake was made because of the Post-Rock connection with Slint.
Most importantly though, I like that you placed Slint in Post-Hardcore instead of early Post-Rock. Spiderland being Post-Rock is one of the worst memes that gets taken seriously. Glenn Branca's The Ascension is closer to Post-Rock than Spiderland is.
Anyways, good stuff. :^)

Should have called it folk rock instead.
Also, he should have sorted the genre. Why put shoegaze below heavy metal and not near noise rock?
There are many other mistakes (no post-punk, wrong period for no wave, etc.)
Where is the mars volta I see ATDI

Keep posting what you think needs changing and i will update it in the next version /mu/

This is a rock & metal histomap, but no a /mu/ histomap
>talk talk in post hardcore
it says genises instead of genesis under progressive rock
>noise rock
>1990
>literally all 80s bands
