Any of your favorite albums

Anything by Bowie. He definitely has good songs but I haven't found an album I actually like.

>>71604721
Sounds like that's a you problem :/
>>71604607
Anything by the Beach Boys and Beatles. The seinfeld effect is strong with these.

Carry yourself
I have never seen a coherent defense of this record.
>>71605444
dude, there is only one black guy in the group, why is their album called niggas on the moon? sus af
>>71605740
Why would I need to defend it? I love it and that's that.
>>71605740
The first four songs flow like a rap epic. Blood on the leaves is a brilliant use of autotune used as an instrument. Guilt trip is one of Kanye's best songs. Send it up is hard as fuck. I'm in it is a thrill. Bound 2 is just all around fantastic. There you go. And above all, HOLD MY LIQUOR, holy shit, a Mike Dean masterpiece

Basically, I pick the songs I like off his albums and put them in a playlist I shuffle. His albums are, good just overrated in my opinion.
>>71605766
Wrong
>>71605806
I only agree with the first statement. I don't think BOTL used autotune better than 808s did, Guilt Trip is a fantastic instrumental throwback to 808s but seemed completely throwaway to me lyrically, cannot fucking stand Send It Up with that corny-ass airhorn beat, I'm In It does absolutely nothing for me beyond its atypical structure, and I think Bound 2 is in the running for the worst thing Kanye ever did as a weak bastardization of his classic sound. I dunno, I don't see much to like in Yeezus really.
>>71605335
Frick off
>>71605884
I don't agree with your opinion, but I do agree that Bound 2 is fucking awful, props
>>71604721
At least someone else thinks this way. Bowie has never made an album higher than a 7/10.
>>71605766
I used to think this was a 10/10. Maybe an 7.5/10, still like it tho.
Every single thing mentioned on this board without exception.

>how to get a cheap fuck
Someone in this thread really said that David Bowie never made an album that was better higher than a 7/10
At first I was perturbed, but I actually hope that someone with such shitty taste exists. It's funny really

I love how he incorporates the samples he uses. The elasticity of Nina Simone's voice on "Blood on the Leaves", the euphoric shift at the end of "New Slaves," the choir for the 'bridge' in "On Sight"... etc.
And then it's just very nice incorporation of noise and feedback, which harkens to that sort of noise/noise-rock/tape music which I love. No, he's not the first to do it, no, he's not the best to do it, but he does it well.
PS. This thread is terrible.

Hunky Dory doesn't have a single weak track, and has a few very strong ones (Changes, Oh! You Pretty Things, Quicksand, And Bewlay Brothers)...
>>71605884
>>71605980
Wrong. Bound 2 is the best song on Yeezus
>>71606894
I like Bowie. Songs like Fashion, Star, Changes, Lazarus, Hang on to Yourself, It's No Game pt. 2, are just a few examples of songs I like, but his albums aren't that interesting to me. I kind of expected David Bowie as a whole to sound like Pink Floyd's "The Wall" going into his discography.
>>71606321
THANK YOU
>>71607059
Go listen to the Ziggy Stardust album. Picking a bunch of random Bowie songs from all over his discography and shuffling them is a sinful act.
>>71604607
Not true. I listen to it daily. It has made it very difficult to listen to most other music when I could be listening to TMR instead.
Meh..
