can someone explain this please?
How in the world can anybody think this needs explaining? It's literally the most straightforward and kinetic rock music ever made.
Obviously it has been influential since people still know about it 45 years later, despite the fact that it never sold.
A lot of people here like it. If you can't appreciate it, be grateful that you still have your Kanye and Radiohead and Grimes.

its good, just keep listening
very unique atmosphere
Hallogallo and Negativland are GOAT. The rest is a bit take or leave, never bad but neither is it mindblowing.
Although I like it I still think 75' is better, what do you think lads?

I actually like NEU! 2 the best. Up until last year I thought it was their worst by far, but it has really grown on me.
Funny. Always thought this was like Autobahn but darker, cloudier and with a sure grasp, and completely removed of the pop bits. This also applies to NEU 2 i'd say.
But I haven't yet listened to Neu '75 which I'm sure most of you have. I suspect you all are also aware that is always mentioned by krautrock collectioners as an excellent, if not the opus of Neu's body of work so I should get around to it soon.
As for the OP I'd recommend you two lighter sounding ambient electronic albums, by Cluster: Zuckerzeit and Ash Ra Tempel - New Age of Earth, I think they are certainly going to be more aligned with your tastes...
