Albums with God-tier opening tracks.
The opener and closer are the only songs i like on this album
>>71593831
Least favourite song in the album, but still pretty feel worthy
>>71593292
>Ma muh muh muh manuscript replicaaaa
>>71594173
Iggy pop had to lay down his masturbatory vocal wankery
>>71594188
I know lol it's so crazy , could you imagine being in the position where you have to consider asking iggy pop to leave the studio??. Impossible. Then you'd look like a real asshole. You just have to sit there and let him shit on your record. I call this being Manuscript replica'd.
>>71594233
seconded.
never has a hip hop album had a better opener that set the whole premise of the album as well as mbdtf
>>71593836

Not that I don't like it, but I think Mr. Self-Destruct is the worst song on the album.
>>71594233
Superior opening track
>>71594286
>i cant get into deathgrips
>but im still edgy
I know it's plebcore but the opening is still pretty good.
>>71594250
this is the best opening track of the decade as far as im concerned
>>71594918
>Pure masturbational first track
I love the album but that opening solo is just aimless and annoying if you listen to the album enough
>>71594233
>>71594918

What isn't god tier about this album? Recently I've been going back to it and it never gets old. Sometimes I wonder if it's better than Alive, discovery and homework
thiefdemoncedricbixler has no talent but for intense burning in hell confirmed eccehuomo
the 97 mix of this is the greatest rock song ever recorded without a doubt
>>71595462
The album honestly is. As far as Daft Punk's whole discography, they completely outclass Justice, but Cross is by far one of the best Electronic Dance albums ever made and will be very hard to ever beat. The craziest part is that Electronic music also has a tenancy to age very poorly yet this album is still incredibly fresh years later.

Good electronic albums are some of the most timeless works in modern music, which is why the best albums (SAW, Dig Your Own Hole, Since I Left You, etc) all still have that fresh edge to them today.

Imagine being a punk in the late '80s. You read that Ian Mackaye has a new band with some of the guys from Rites of Spring, and they've put out an album (or an EP, if you were more attentive). You have your local record store send for it, pick it up the next week, put it on your turntable or in your cassette deck. With the band's pedigree, you're getting ready for what you expect to be some pretty good emocore.
Instead, what the fuck? Funk bass? Then the groovy, mid-tempo guitar comes in. Shit, this is really good. The false stop throws you for a second, makes you think maybe this was just some weird intro to an otherwise typical punk album, but no, the band picks it back up. The vocals come in, and the lyrics are a little weirder, more cryptic than you expected from Ian "This Song Is About How I Hate My Friends" Mackaye.
It's all great stuff so far. Maybe not as high-energy as you were hoping, but hey, artists change--and then the chorus comes crashing in. And the '90s officially begin, 2 years ahead of schedule.
