Every dadrock band has that fanbase. Rush fans are pretty dedicated because before Moving Pictures they weren't as acclaimed.

Tool are legitimately some of the worst of the worst.
Every 14 year old who's into music goes through a Tool obsession, and has a chance of getting sucked into a fucking cult of Alex Grey paintings, unironic "sheeple" usage, edgy Bill Hicks quotes, and nutting themselves over the fact that the band can play in time signatures other than 4/4

Rush fans aren't that bad, most are just nerdy dads who are dedicated to their favorite band. Better than most dadrock since they generally know their shit instead of just drunkenly singing along to one or two hits. 95% of them don't care about the band's politics (not that they're even a political band, unless you seriously can't handle slight libertarian themes in a couple of songs)

I've noticed that the autistic meme high schoolers have completely dropped DG after the NLDW era, I guess GP and NOTM back to back scared them away.
I saw them live before and after Powers That B and the people in attendance were like night and day.

Almost every semi-popular metal band. Especially black metal. There's always suburban teenagers trying to be edgy as possible, wearing metal t-shirts, talking about Satan, and bashing emos when they're just as bad.
