I can't really think of any bands that were directly influenced by them, they didn't really create any new genre. But being one of the most popular bands in history obviously is going to be influential.

They constantly influence plebs to come and piss on the ashes of this board.

Also Piper has been a consistent influence of the psych/space rock genre.

It's not that surprising. PF were experimenting with sampling and sound collages on Ummagumma and Atom Heart Mother, and The Visitation is far more in the vein of psychedelic rock than their later industrial/post-punk releases.
