real talk, i'm not really interested in what people think is a better album than SftB, but what the hell happened to Swans with that album?

i don't actively dislike any Swans release, but the sheer force of that album is just unmatched in their discography, and they made it relatively late into their career. it has no real precedent, no real successor, it's a sonic monument.
